Terms of Use

Effective July 14, 2026. Last updated July 14, 2026.

These terms cover the use of ardentep.com. Using the site means you accept them. They are the rules for the website. They are not the agreement under which we provide security services, which is a separate document that both sides sign.

Who operates this site

This site is operated by ARDENT Protection, LLC, a Florida limited liability company, at 4790 Hiatus Rd, Sunrise, FL 33351. ARDENT holds Florida Security Agency License #B1900411.

The site is information, not a quote and not a contract

  • The pages are general information. Articles, checklists, sample logs and references to fire and licensing standards are published to help you work out what you need, including when the answer is that you need less than someone told you. They are general, and your property is not.
  • Published price ranges are indicative. The rates we publish show where real work lands, so you can tell whether a quote you are holding is sensible. They are not an offer, they are not a quote, and they are not the price for your site. A real number comes after someone assesses the property.
  • Nothing on the site creates a contract. Sending a form or having a call does not start service. What we will do, when, at what rate, and what happens if we fall short, all live in a written services agreement signed by both sides. If anything on the site conflicts with that agreement, the agreement controls.

What our license means, and what it does not

In Florida, security agencies and the Officers who work for them are licensed under Chapter 493. The agency is licensed, and so is every Officer.

A Security Officer is not a police officer, and has no more authority to detain than any other private citizen. Any use of force is governed by state law and limited to what is reasonable and necessary.

Nothing published on this site is legal advice, and nothing on it tells you what a code or a regulator requires of your building. We can tell you what a standard says. Your fire official, your inspector and your own attorney decide what it means for your property. If a page and a real-world official disagree about your site, the official is right, and we work to what they direct.

Using the site

  • Quoting us is welcome. Read a page, print it, cite it, link to it, or use it in a board packet or a bid. That is what it is for. Passing it off as your own work is not.
  • Our material is ours. The ARDENT name, the shield, the wording, the design and the ARDENT Operating Standard belong to ARDENT Protection, LLC. Republishing a page as though it were yours, or as though you were us, is the line.
  • Do not attack the site. No probing, scanning, scraping at volume, or attempting to reach parts of the site or its systems that are not open to you.
  • Send us only what is yours to send. If you put something in a form or hand us a document, we take it that you had the right to.
  • Do not use the site to plan harm. It describes what protection looks like from the client's side. It is not a manual, and it is not for working out how to get around one.

What we do not promise

Availability. The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be up, reachable or error-free at any given moment, and we may change, move or retire pages without notice. If something is happening on your property right now, do not wait on a website. Call (954) 787-3700. A person answers, at every hour.

Accuracy. Codes get amended, thresholds move, and content ages. We work to keep what is here correct and we cite the standard where we can, but we do not warrant that every line is current for your building today. Where a page describes a code, the code itself controls, not our summary of it.

Other people's sites. Some links go out to standards bodies, fire officials, and the companies that run parts of this site. We do not control them and we are not responsible for what they say or do. Our Privacy Policy names the companies that hold information on our behalf.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, ARDENT Protection, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising out of the use of this site or reliance on anything published on it, including lost business or lost profit.

These terms limit what the website owes you. They do not touch a signed services agreement. If ARDENT is providing you with Guard Services, Fire Watch, Event Security, Executive Protection or any other service, the duties, the standards and the remedies live in that agreement and in Florida law. A website disclaimer does not shrink a security contract, and we would not want it to.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the site or about these terms is heard by a court in Florida.

If part of these terms cannot stand

If a court decides that one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest of them stay in force.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes with them, and using the site afterward is how you accept the updated version.
